In Q4 2021, Slovakia's carpooling and ridesharing app market showcased a range of performances across the top five applications. Here’s a detailed look at their trends in weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 6K at the end of September and dropping to around 1.5K by mid-December. However, it saw a slight uptick towards the end of the year, closing at approximately 1.8K downloads in the last week of December. The app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 63K and 71K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride showed stable download numbers, hovering around 500 downloads per week for most of the quarter. A notable increase was observed in the last week of December, peaking at 792 downloads. The weekly active users for Uber remained consistent, ranging from approximately 33K to 36K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a steady but modest number of weekly downloads, ranging from 260 to 637 throughout the quarter. Active users ranged from 1.8K to 2.4K, with a slight peak at the end of December, reaching 2.1K.

Zoberma had a more variable performance in weekly downloads, starting from 427 at the beginning of the quarter and dipping significantly to single digits by December. The app did not report active user data for this period.

Careem – rides, food & more had relatively lower download numbers, starting at 88 and gradually increasing to 246 by the end of December. Active users showed a steady increase from 225 at the end of September to 418 in the last week of December.
